About the Friendship Center

The National Ozu Youth Friendship Center was originally established as the National Ozu Youth House, the 11th social education facility in Japan, opened on November 23, 1974, with the aim of promoting the sound growth of young people through group residential training programs. It was reorganized into a facility managed by the National Youth House, an independent administrative agency, in April 2001, and renamed to the National Ozu Youth Friendship Center under the National Institution for Youth Education in April 2006.
This facility is located on high ground with a panoramic view of Ozu, a riverside district developed around the Hiji River--the mother river of the southern Ehime Prefecture--and surrounded by abundant natural beauty that changes with the seasons.
In this natural setting, we mainly accept young people of a wide range of ages and youth educators, serving as an educational base for youth. We also provide educational support and organize educational programs, such as volunteer activities, work-experience programs, and exchange programs. In response to the needs of the local community, the facility is open to various groups, including women's groups, social welfare organizations, companies, and families, and supports training activities such as outdoor activities, sports activities, and cultural activities.
Please note that this is accommodation for the purpose of youth education, not a hotel or inn for tourists, before use of our facility. We all are committed to helping you pursue your activities smoothly. Please feel free to contact us for any requests and opinions.
